Aidan woke up early the next morning, a tree branch above a sleeping Terra. As he looked at her, he realized it was cold out here. Thankfully, he had fire on his side. As he thought of heat, he got warmer and warmer, his body tingling. Then he realized Terra was probabaly cold..
Slowly he slid down the tree to her branch and sat beside her lightly. He put his arm around her, thinking fire and hear again.
Within seconds Terra was awake and shoved him off the branch, sending him to the ground.
"What were you thinking?!" She yelled and jumped down to the ground, landing lightly on her feet.
"I was thinking you were cold, but apparently not!" He muttered from his position, sprawled out on the ground in pain.
Suddenly Terra had realized that he had a power too, and started giggling. Suddenly three girls walked into the clearing, all looking like they had gone to death and back. Each had beautiful features, but their face was dirty and their hair was frizzy, like they had never walked into the woods. "Are you okay?!" Terra said and ran over to the girls. "Aidan help me here."
A little while later, Aidan and Terra had the girls warmed up and clean by the fire. Thats when Aidan spoke up, "Im Aidan. And thats Terra. Who are yall?"
"Im Marie. Thats Crystar," She said pointing to one girl, "Then thats Shaye." Marie said pointing at Shaye. "We all come from the city, but found each other and became friends on the way here. Nice to meet you."
Five kids. Five powers. Five cities. And Five lives. When they come together, can they follow the rules of the dark, or try to shine in the light...?

Chapter Five: Aidan
Aidan watched from the bushes, seeing a blonde haired girl in the middle of the woods. It was weird, seeing another person miles into the forest. Normally, when he walked out here to expiriment his powers, he was alone. But now, there was a beautiful girl by a creek, alone. How weird could it get? Maybe she needed help. Aidan slipped out from the trees and walked up behind her, "Hello, are you okay?"
Terra spun around, her hair flying behind her. "I knew someone was watching me. Yes im okay. Are you okay?" Her voice was soft and sweet, but also stern and serious too.
"Im sorry, but youre out here alone. Thats kinda is dangerous..." Aidan stuck his hands in his pockets, and looked at her.
"Youre out here alone." Terra pointed out, returning the stare. Then she remembered her manners and stuck out her hand, "Im Terra."
Aidan laughed and looked at her, "Im Aidan. And Im more of a hugger, if you dont mind?"
"You will get a handshake." Terra laughed and shook his hand. "Come on, Ill show you camp, thats if, you intend to stay out here?"
"I do now." He muttered and nodded. Then followed her back to the little camp-site.

Chapter Four: Terra
Terra woke up on the tree branch, and slowly sat up, trying not to fall off like she did most mornings. As she wiped her eyes, she smiled, "Hhheeeellllllllooooooo!!!!!!" Within seconds after she yelled, the birds began chirping again, knowing she wouldnt hurt them. Terra jumped down and landed on her feet, then glanced around and made sure no one else was there. As she looked around, she smiled at her little camp. A small firepit was infront of her, and the wood was to her left, and so was the herbs and plants she ate. And to the right was the living stuff she might need; Bottles of water she had refilled at the creek, a mirror, ponytails, a couple of shirts and pants, and strips of fabric, just small stuff.
As she stretched, her long blonde hair came down into her face. "I need to wash my hair..." She muttered and rushed off towards the creek. As she layed down on her chest, she flipped her hair in the water and started scrubbing the dirt and dust out of it. As she washed, she thought about what she needed to eat... Berries, and some tree roots, Terra also needed to start a new fire, since it was coming closer and closer to Winter.
As she flipped up, her wet hair sprayed water everywhere. Suddenly, she felt uncomfortable, like someone was watching her. Terra looked around, but saw no one. "Weird..."

Chapter Three: Crystal
Crystal grabbed the beer can out of her brothers hand, glaring at him madly. "Dont forget your 17 Josh. Four years." As she picked up cigarettes off the rug, she tossed can after can into the garbage bag. It was disgusting, both of her siblings drank, and smoked, including her parents. She was the only clean one in the house and always cleaned the house, trying to make it look nicer. "Jennifer! Josh! REALLY?" She looked at the older twins, who were drinking another beer.
"I just took one away from you Josh! Geehz." She muttered and snatched the cans away from both of them, tossing them in the trash.
Within minutes, she had cleaned up all the cigarettes and beer cans, making the house look a little better. Crystal wiped her hands on her skinny jeans, smearing black stuff down the side. "Ew. Mom, where are you?" She hollered, looking for her mother.
"In here..." Came the soft reply from the bedroom.
As Crystal walked in the room, to check on her mother, she noticed her mom had a margarita in her hands and was sipping it lightly.
"Mom! Youre pregnant, you dont need that!" Screamed Crystal, grabbing the drink away from her expecting mother.
"If you wanted a sip you should have just told me..." Her mother replied, getting loopy drunk.
"Forget you." Crystal yelled and threw the glass at the wall, and walked into the kitchen. She grabbed her coat and put it on, then slid on her side-bag. Within seconds, she had water bottles in the bag, and a few bags of chips. As she fleed from the house, she turned back one last time, shaking her head in disgust at the house.
She walked behind the house, and slipped into the forest, trying to get as far away from the slimy family she had to call family. When she was a few steps into the forest, she pulled out her phone and looked at her reflection. "I look alright. Not like im gonna meet anyone out here." She muttered then laughed, and kept trudging on.

Chapter Two: Shaye
"Mom! Stop, now!" Shaye yelled, tossing her head back and forth, bringing her knees up for more protection. Her parents always did this, took turns beating her. Now it was her turn to fight back. As she let loose of her shins, and slapped her mother across her face, throwing her mother's head to one side in pain.
"Enough!"
As she ran off, she grabbed her back pack, with little snacks she had saved, a few water bottles, a small jacket, and an extra pair of jeans, even 10 dollars she had stolen from her dad one time. Then she ran out the back door, and started running. Shaye was fast, quick and agile, and knew she could easily outrun both her parents.
She knew where she was heading, about half a mile down the road, there was woods. Forest for miles after miles, she knew if she could get into those safely, she was home free. Shaye knew a lot about nature and animals, and which ones would come out at night, like owls, and raccoons. Shaye had always been in love with the night, she loved the dark, it was sweet and sincere to her. It was one of the only things she had left. She knew that she could hide in the shade, and trust it to keep her secret of where she was.
As she reached the woods, she hesitated to run in. This was her only chance to freedom, yet, she was fretting that it wasnt the right thing for her. Suddenly she stuck her hand out and pulled a leaf off the branch infront of her. Almost immediatley, the whole tree turned a dark grey, a see through black.
"What just happened...?" She whispered and stuck her hand into the tree, her hand going right through it. Within seconds she pulled her hand out of it, getting a weird tingling feeling, and as she did, the tree became normal. With leafs, and branches.
Without hesitation now, she bolted into the trees, hidden by the shadows. Instantly, she blended in, running silently and quickly through the shade. For some reason, she looked down at her hands, realizing the were turning grey and black, becoming see through like the tree. Within moments, her whole body was a shadow, even her hair and teeth, it was like she was a ghost. The feeling she had was incredible, she knew that she was a shadow, but how? How could she still be alive and be a shadow form?

Chapter One: Marie
Marie woke up on a Saturday morning, not late, maybe around 10am. As she stretched her legs, her silk pajamas touched her, making her smile. They were her favorite pajamas in the world, but she made her maid wash them every day. "Collene!" She hollered, using her spanish accent to make it sound fancier. Since her mother was part spanish, she had the dark hair and small body, she was as short as her younger brother, Evan, who was only 13, while she was 15.
"Collene, if you do not get in here you are in trouble!" She yelled again, her long, curled black hair in her face. "Collene! Dont you dare make me come and get you!" Without any patience, she stomped out of the room and down the steps of her house. Her parents were wealthy, but were hardly ever home. They always took Evan with them on their trips, while Marie wanted to stay home. Collene was the only one home with her most of the time. As she reached the huge kitchen, a note was on the fridge, telling her that Collene was at the market getting groceries.
Looking around she slipped on her glasses she had to wear, or needed to wear. Walking back up stairs, she put on a t-shirt and some skinny jeans. Looking in the mirror, she pursed her lips and blew a kiss kiddingly. As she walked out she put her hair up and slipped on her tennis shoes.
Walking into the forest, Marie already felt relieved. This was the place she always came to when she was mad, or angry, the sound of the water always seemed to help.
It seemed like Marie walked for hours when her phone went off. It was Collene texting her. All it said is where are you? As normal, she ignored it. Collene wouldnt care her being in the forest, would she? As Marie looked around to go home, she realized she didnt know these woods. They werent the forest behind her mansion... This was different. It was dark, and everywhere she turned, she couldnt see anything familiar...
